The single most useful thing I can tell you: Splashaway Bay — the free kids' aqua park — covers about 90% of what the paid waterpark offers for kids under 10. Slides, fountains, drench bucket, splash pools, all included. The paid Thrill Waterpark is worth it exactly once if your kids are true slide fiends (the big one is the tallest in North America), but book it BEFORE the cruise in the planning app — prices are dynamic and can double onboard. Same story across the island: it's built to upsell you, and the counter-move is knowing the free version is genuinely great — Oasis Lagoon pool has a zero-entry toddler end, every beach has free chairs, and lunch is included at multiple spots.
Logistics: it's cashless (your ship card works everywhere except the straw market — bring a little cash there), lifeguards are at every pool and beach, and free trams loop the island. On two-ship days it's crowded, period — get off early, claim your base camp, and check Harbor Beach if you've got littles: calm, shallow, and closest to the ship.
